Practical Ayurveda: Wellness Wednesdays with Gary and Cynthia Gran

Session 2 of 4: Determining Your Dosha! Working with Your Prakruti and Vikruti

Via Zoom

$20

Let’s take a deep look at the three doshas, known as vata, pitta, and kapha. These are the three operating principles used in Ayurveda to determine our state of physical and mental health over time. Each one represents a tendency towards a certain excess, such as nervousness, inflammation or congestion.

The overall balance of these three principles when we’re born determines our body-mind constitution, known as our Prakruti, our original nature. Over time, this balance can change, giving us our current condition, or Vikruti.

Nature and Nurture.

In this class, we’ll explore how to determine both the original dosha and the current dosha, and what is recommended to maintain balanced health.

Please join us as we ponder these changing expressions of the life force, and the wisdom of the Ayurvedic world view. All are welcome.
